Pieter Erasmus
Pieter Erasmus is the Chief Financial Officer of Signature Business Solutions, where he has overseen the company’s financial strategy and governance since 2012. As a Chartered Accountant (SA) with more than 15 years of experience across finance, reconciliation, and enterprise transformation, Pieter brings both technical expertise and strategic vision to the business.
His career began in auditing, where he developed a strong foundation in financial controls and compliance, before progressing into senior roles in financial analysis and reconciliation. At Liberty Group and later at Standard Bank, Pieter specialised in reconciliation and large-scale financial transformation projects, including serving as a Release Train Engineer on Standard Bank’s Core Banking replacement programme. This exposure to complex, multi-team environments cemented his reputation for managing financial risk and driving delivery in high-stakes initiatives.
At Signature, Pieter combines his deep technical grounding in accounting with an ability to translate financial complexity into clear, actionable strategy. He has played a central role in guiding Signature’s growth into a multi-national business, ensuring robust governance, financial sustainability, and alignment with the company’s long-term vision.
Pieter holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA equivalent) from Monash South Africa, alongside a Bachelor and Honours Degree in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa. He is a Sage Intacct Certified Implementation Expert, a Certified Release Train Engineer, and a SAFe Agilist, reflecting his blend of financial and technological expertise.
